Terms of Use

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use set out the basis on which you may use Orlando Obsessed. Orlando Obsessed is a service operated by Orlando Obsessed Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 14800946and registered at Companies House (the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales). Our registered office address is shown in the footer below. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Orlando Obsessed Ltd; references to “you” mean you, the person using the service.

We have written these terms in plain English so they are easy to follow. Where a term is important, or might be unusual for a free community service, we have tried to flag it clearly rather than bury it. Please read it. If anything is unclear, contact us at hello@orlandoobsessed.com and we will be glad to explain.

These terms work alongside our Privacy Notice and our Cookies Policy. We keep the detail of how we handle your data and cookies in those documents rather than repeating it here.

2. Where Orlando Obsessed is right now

We want to be straight with you about what exists today. Orlando Obsessed is in a pre-launch, coming-soon phase. The only thing you can actually do right now is join our mailing list, by giving your first name, last name and email address and ticking a clear consent box. That is it.

The full Orlando Obsessed service, which will include member accounts, profiles, community posts, trip planning and our AI Quick Plan feature, is still in development. It is not yet open to the public. You cannot create an account or sign in today. Where these terms describe accounts, posts, content or community features, those parts apply once we open the full service to members. We are telling you about them now so you can see how the service is intended to work.

3. The service is free

Orlando Obsessed is provided free of charge. There is no payment to join the mailing list, and there will be no payment to use the community and planning features when they open. There are no paid features today and these terms do not create any obligation for you to pay us anything.

If we ever introduce paid digital content or any feature you would pay for, we will provide separate consumer-contract terms and the pre-contract information the law requires before you buy anything. Those terms would apply to that paid feature, and you would be free to keep using the free parts of the service without buying it.

4. The mailing list

When you join our mailing list we ask for your first name, last name and email address, and we record the date and the version of the consent wording you agreed to. We will only email you because you chose to subscribe. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email we send or by contacting us. How we handle this information is explained in full in our Privacy Notice.

5. Accounts and acceptable use (once the community opens)

When member accounts open, you will be responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account. Orlando Obsessed is a friendly community for people who love Orlando and Florida theme parks, and we expect everyone to keep it that way.

When using the community you must not:

  • Break the law: post or do anything unlawful, or that encourages unlawful activity.
  • Harm others: post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful or abusive.
  • Infringe rights: post content you do not have the right to share, including material that breaches someone else’s copyright, trade mark or other rights.
  • Spam or deceive: send spam, run scams, or impersonate any person or organisation, or falsely suggest a partnership with us, Disney, Universal or anyone else.
  • Abuse the platform: scrape the service, use bots or other automated means to access or collect data, or try to get around our security, rate limits or access controls.

If content or behaviour breaks these rules, we may remove the content and, depending on how serious it is, suspend or close the account responsible.

6. Your content and the licence you give us

When the community opens and you post content, such as profile details, trip stories, photos, plans and comments, you keep ownership of it. To run the service we need your permission to use it, so you grant Orlando Obsessed Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute your content for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting Orlando Obsessed.

That licence is limited to what we need. It is not perpetual, it is not a transfer of ownership, and it does not let us use your content for unrelated purposes. When you delete your content, or close your account, the licence ends for the future, although we may keep copies for a short period in backups or where the law requires.

You promise that you have the rights to post what you post and that doing so does not break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights.

7. Reporting content and complaints

If you see content on Orlando Obsessed that you believe is unlawful, infringes your rights, or breaches these terms, please tell us at hello@orlandoobsessed.com. If your report concerns copyright or another intellectual property right, please use the same address and tell us what the content is, where it is, and why you believe it infringes your rights. Once we are aware of unlawful or infringing content, we will act expeditiously to review it and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to it.

8. Disney, Universal and other third parties

Orlando Obsessed is an independent community. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, NBCUniversal, or any other theme park operator. References to specific parks, rides, restaurants, hotels or other branded experiences are descriptive only. The service may also link to third-party websites, which we do not control and are not responsible for.

9. Accuracy and the “as is” basis

Our content, guides, community posts and the output of our AI Quick Plan feature are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We take care to be helpful, but we do not guarantee that this information is accurate, complete, up to date or fit for any particular purpose. AI-generated plans and community contributions are suggestions to help you, not professional advice.

Time-sensitive details change often, so please verify anything that matters, such as park hours, prices, ticket terms and wait times, directly with the official source before you rely on it. This section is subject to the protections in section 10, which we never try to take away from you.

10. Our responsibility to you

We want this section to be fair, so we will say the most important part first. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything in these terms.

Subject to that, because Orlando Obsessed is a free service, there are some things we cannot promise. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

  • Availability: the service being available without interruption or free of errors.
  • Accuracy of content: loss arising from relying on community posts, guides or AI-generated plans that turn out to be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Third-party links: the content or conduct of third-party websites or services we link to.
  • Indirect loss: loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or that is indirect or consequential.

We do not exclude all liability. The limits above are proportionate to a service we offer to you free of charge, and they always give way to the protections set out at the start of this section.

11. Suspension, termination and closing your account

Once accounts are open, you can close yours at any time, and you can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. We will help if you ask us at hello@orlandoobsessed.com.

We may suspend or close an account where there is a genuine reason to do so, for example a serious or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or where we are required to act by law. Where it is practical and lawful to do so, we will give you notice first and a chance to put things right. We will not close accounts on a whim or for no reason.

12. Changes to these terms and the service

We may update these terms from time to time, and we may change, add to or withdraw the free service, where there is a valid reason, such as improving how it works, reflecting new features, or meeting a legal or security requirement. If we make a material change, we will give you reasonable advance notice, for example by email or a notice on the site.

If you do not accept a change, you are free to stop using the service or close your account before the change takes effect. We will not treat your simply continuing to use the service as automatic acceptance of material changes that disadvantage you.

13. Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or your use of Orlando Obsessed, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. A few final points

These terms, together with our Privacy Notice and Cookies Policy, form the whole agreement between you and us about your use of Orlando Obsessed. This does not limit our responsibility for any fraudulent misrepresentation.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them carry on in force. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

If you have any questions about these terms, contact us at hello@orlandoobsessed.com, or write to us at our registered address shown below. For anything to do with your personal data or your data-protection rights, please use privacy@orlandoobsessed.com.
